Shell Station

This shell shaped gas station is tucked away in a neighborhood in Winston-Salem, NC.  It’s a perfect subject to photograph with my ’50’s Rollei.  I had to photograph it in color.  It was the best way to show this unusual place.   There were a few of these built in the 1930’s but only one building is left.  If you want to learn more, here is a link for information on this building: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shell_Service_Station_(Winston-Salem,_North_Carolina).
